The Fintech Super App for Algeria and Emerging Markets

What they do:

Vaulfi is building a stablecoin-based neobank for North Africa. The company enables individuals to hold, send, receive, and spend money using stablecoins through a simple mobile application and a stablecoin-powered card.

Users benefit from fast, low-cost cross-border payments, access to EUR-denominated accounts, and the ability to move money across countries without relying on traditional banking infrastructure or expensive remittance providers.

Vaulfi manages the full stack; including on- and off-ramping, compliance, and wallet management allowing customers to transact globally with the simplicity and reliability of a local bank account.

Its long-term vision is to evolve into a fintech super app serving the region’s growing digital economy.

Why we invested:

North Africa has strong demand for cross border payments, foreign currency access, and digital financial services, yet large parts of the population remain underserved by traditional banking infrastructure. Stablecoins offer a practical solution by enabling low cost, near instant settlement and access to global financial rails.

Vaulfi is building a financial platform designed around these rails from the outset. By combining stablecoin wallets, foreign currency accounts, and card based spending in a single product, the company addresses a clear structural gap in the region’s financial system. We believe this approach positions Vaulfi to become an important access point for digital finance across North Africa.
