Electrifying the Future of Last-Mile Delivery

What they do:

Tayar is building the infrastructure powering the future of electric delivery. The company provides a plug-and-play e-mobility platform centered around electric two-wheelers, enabling last-mile operators to transition seamlessly to sustainable fleets. Through its battery swapping network and pay-as-you-go battery leasing model,

Tayar eliminates high upfront costs and reduces operational friction. By combining energy infrastructure, smart fleet data, and scalable deployment, Tayar is laying the foundation for efficient, reliable, and fully electrified urban logistics.

Why we Invested:

Tayar addresses the MENA region’s $3.2B+ last-mile delivery market through an integrated Electric Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) platform that combines EV bikes, battery-swapping infrastructure, fleet management software, and rider financial services. Having delivered 900,000+ orders in Egypt and secured partnerships with Talabat, Amazon, and Keeta, Tayar has validated product-market fit with both delivery platforms and riders.

Operating in a market experiencing 40-45% BaaS CAGR in Egypt and 45-50% in the UAE, the platform delivers 55-82% cost savings versus fuel-powered bikes while generating revenue through commission-based fleet operations (25% per order) and recurring battery-swap subscriptions ($35-54/month).
