Clarrio is Powering the Circulatory System of Real-World Evidence

What they do:

Clarrio is an AI-powered real-world data platform that gives doctors continuous visibility into the lives of patients. The platform aggregates physiological, behavioural, psychological, and environmental data from wearable devices and patient-reported inputs, then uses predictive analytics to identify disease triggers, flag deterioration risks, and support clinical decision-making in real time.

Why we invested:

The continent has the highest epilepsy prevalence globally (2–3% vs. 0.5–1% elsewhere), yet African patient populations are dramatically underrepresented in clinical trials and real-world evidence datasets. Clarrio is building proprietary, high-resolution datasets from these populations and is increasingly valuable to global pharmaceutical companies seeking diverse real-world evidence for regulatory submissions. The team combines 30+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience from Merck with AI and machine learning expertise from InstaDeep, and a Microsoft partnership that provides access to hospital procurement channels across the GCC.
